I’ve found a little bit more of myself every time I went to the mountains.
I reconnected with my soul, it was drowning in alcohol. I now have healthy new habits instead of being a fighting drunken idiot. I bead again, fish(dad bought me a 12 ft Ugly Stix after I moved in) learning how to make pine needle baskets, I’ve learned how to tan the hides of elk when I go hunting, I use the racks for my jewelry and I am making a couple of fans using part of the rack as a handle, I have many brothers and nephews that dance traditional so I’m making them gifts to celebrate their sobriety. The buckskin that I get after tanning the hide, I use for moccasins, belts and part of my jewelry. I have canned fruits, venison and salmon. I love learning healthy habits! TYVM for letting me share
