Getting ready for cookies!!
Oh that’s a beautiful sky
Oh that’s beautiful!
Grew up with one in our yard. We always called it a “Tulip Tree”. Every year we would have an Easter Picture taken with it in the background. It is still there on my property but haven’t seen it in a couple of years… I will try to get a picture. Once had an arborist tell me he had never seen one so large. Can be a mess though to clean up. Thanks for reminding me … happy memories.
They taste great pickled. Like sushi ginger.
Really? Oooh that is something I wanna try…never heard of this
Was the first plbush I planted in my home and I let it get huge and wild. Was glorious when it bloomed. My renters have trimmed it down to a small plant now …still very pretty just not as magnificent lol
I stay at a farm now and again up in Northamptonshire. They keep bees and harvest the honey, make sheep milk soaps, keep cute Zwartble sheep, make cheese, blat Quinces for quince cheese (actually a jam), grow unusual vegetables … and the husband of the fantastic duo pickles magnolia blossoms… He’s a tree surgeon and ecologist and activist by day, and often has weird and wonderful concoctions on the go. These are so lovely to eat with many different things. Try it!
Thanks for this. I will try (hopefully soon) …will let you know when I do
Wow I am amazed . Thank you for sharing this.
Natures pantry will never fail you
