Oh my. My cats would have definitely tried to beat it up and promptly been killed…I couldn’t have helped them as I would have been hiding in the pantry, crying.
It’s my all time biggest fear. Inspires me to shut my balcony door, or wear an astronaut suit.

Yes it is a tarantula. If he’s going to mate he’ll be dead soon. So let’s cheer the little buggar on 
he may only live ten years. The females are home bodies might live to 25.
