So you made me look up info on Porthmadog. Rich in history. Beautiful. I have no worldly traveling experience but for some reason I envision me sitting there enjoying the view smiling
Ah it’s a lovely area. My brother owns a place in Morfa Bychan just outside Porthmadog as it’s the area where his Welsh speaking wife grew up. Sadly she’s no longer with us. His son who is a Welsh speaker (unusual for someone who grew up in England) lives there now with his partner. So we have connections to the area
The coast is lovely and not far from the mountains too. There’s castles at Harlech and Criccieth, Caernarfon and Conwy not too far away that we sort of take for granted when you grow up with it all around you!
You can see the Clwyd hills in Wales in the distance from Liverpool where I grew up in England, so going down to Wales has been a very common occurrence in my life.
