I gave up looking for them during my hike. THEN on the way back I ran into FOUR of them! :star_struck: These are banana slugs. According to Dr. Google, they are native to the wet Pacific Northwest coastal lowlands, from British Columbia to central California.

This morning I went for a walk on my usual route, which I hadn’t taken since I broke my rib. Today was the first time in 4 weeks, and I felt so blessed with all the spring vibes that were in the air!
