We had a little cold spell (was in the 50s), but back to 70s today I believe. I don’t miss the length of the northern winters.
Wow that is stunning!
That’s amazing, where are you?
That. WAS. Taken in Durango Colorado. Use to be my back yard til I moved to Flagstaff. I miss it.
It’s beautiful! I can see why you would miss it - the landscape is stunning
That’s absolutely gorgeous! We have had clouds the last few days. Lots of them. No rain. Just clouds. Very depressing.
Oh wow, beautiful! I miss the sun and warmth! Can’t wait to swim. Do you swim there in that water?
You certainly can. It is the shark bite capital of the country however, so I don’t. Lots of surfers out usually. We have had quite a few whale sightings lately, which is a huge treat. I like picking up shells and trash.
I grew up in the Atlantic but not many sharks there. Mostly jellyfish, ugly fish & seaweed in dark water lol. Definitely not tropical blue water. So back east I preferred lakes
This is the Atlantic…southern style! I grew up northern Atlantic, we would play in the ocean until Mom made us get out cuz we were turning blue…so friggin cold!!! Here it is warm all year.
Yeah as kids we’d spend all day in it too, when we’d head by the ocean to my grandparents; we’d go down at the wharf, freezing but having fun. I don’t think I’ve been stung by a jellyfish but honestly our legs would be too cold to feel it lol. People where I live now say the lakes are cold but to me it seems so warm in comparison
I grew up in the Lakes region of Maine and they were cold, but warmed up in summer. I got swimmers ear all the time as a kid from lake swimming. Ouch…it hurt a lot.
Jellyfish are out in force today!! Caution flags are up!
Ever camp Maine area? I might need to hit you up for suggestions for campgrounds if we drive through once I figure out our route
