Please take care of yourself the best you can, I have no words. You’re in my thoughts
Omg im praying u find some shelter. Idk where u live but here they have drop in shelters. U usually have to arrive at a certain time and then everyone leaves first thing in the morning, but it is shelter. Altho it can be hard in the shelters too for other reasons. Alot of unhoused individuals use the warm air on the vents in the streets to keep warm at night. There are soup kitchens for food. Im sure they have some reaources around u… they must. Here we have a place that houses unhoused individuals that are clean and sober so that they can begin work at temp agencies etc. They must stay clean and sober to live there. I wonder if there is anything out there like that in ur area. Please keep in contact with us so we all know ur okay
Where in the uk are you if you don’t mind me asking
Answer this question bc I’ve got a garden shed with an electric supply. I’ve been homeless and at some point in our lives someone is going to give us a break, take it when it comes. I took mine and I’m still alive today to tell the tale. First we need a roof, then an address and then a job. None of this can be found, offered or held onto whilst in active addiction. You will reap what you sow. @ST4000bc
Well, I relapsed really bad and went into respiratory arrest. Then after that I continued drinking on the streets and then spent 30 days in prison for petty theft of alcohol to stop withdrawals, I was released last Wednesday. I can’t remember much about anything between December and prison.
As part of my sentence I have to stay in a high dependency rehab. The irony is that I’ve been begging them for an opportunity like this for 19 months, it just took a near death experience for them to actually see I have a problem and finally help. This place is different from the last one, I can stay here as long as I want. Years if need be…
Thanks for your concern guys, I mean it. I’ve only just managed to get a new phone and log back in. I’m safe, warm and feeling positive. Finally
Just got to reset my sober time clock
