Private purgatory

hello there . yesterday i was out for the first time . at a club where my band played . i am away from my musical tasks for now but wanted to give my support to the guys .

i ordered non - alcoholic beer . after drinking it i noticed the damned bottled said vol. 0,4 % . such a little thing but somehow found it frustrating !

happy thing is that it wasn’t impossible to keep away from drinking . but i felt quiet . went home quickly leaving my mates taking speed and drinking .

anyway , this group and this app definitely helps me keeping my promise without fake excuses .

thank You . every you there .

:green_heart:

I understand the frustration and disappointment with the beer but it’s incredibly low. Even bread has a measurable alcohol level due to the yeast.

But it’s a credit to you that you found it annoying. It means you are conscious of what your goal is.

Well done and good luck

There’s 0.0 beer and alcohol free beer. 0.0 has a max alc content of 0.045 percent if I remember right. That’s really nothing. Alc free can have up to 1.5 %, depending on the country it comes from. Whether it’s a good idea to have any of these drinks while in (early) sobriety or not is a hotly debated topic, here and elsewhere. I’m glad you’re here sharing. Keep going. You’re doing good.

There’s more alcohol in Kombucha that’s not even advertised as being alcoholic it’s that low. Agreed it’s annoying but nothing more, doing well brother.

Welcome… glad you’re here!

My test with ultra low alc drinks is “what would happen if I drank ten of these”. The answer in your case is you’d be pissing all night but still ok to drive. Oh and you would never drink ten of them… we’re looking for the alcohol not the not-that-delicious beery taste

I wouldnt worry too much but as other ls have said, NA beer is a hotly contested subject

Yeah, “alcohol-free” over here is between 0,0-0,5 %. I work in a grocery store, so I see the confusion about it among customers. IMO, it’s misleading marketing. For reference, homemade sima has about 1% alcohol.

I can’t say if that’s a lot of alcohol or not, since alcohol is not my DOC. If you want to be certain your drink has no alcohol in it, you have to specify it to your server/ clerk (ask for täysnolla).
