I’m 27 days sober from alcohol today. I am proud of days 1-26, but I’m particularly proud of day 27. I went to a concert and remained sober, which is a big deal for me. I have done it before during longer stints of sobriety, but I also had a relapse at a concert before. Last night I set intentions for myself to remain sober and be present, and I did- and it makes the music so much more fun.
I did indulge in a non-alcoholic beer (my first ever). Not bad- not something I’ll drink often but it was useful in curbing a craving in a social environment this early into sobriety. I think eventually I’ll cut even that out. The funny thing is, they didn’t have the non-alcoholic beer at the bars which were on every level, but only on the top level with their little coffee bar. So I got a little exercise with it.
Anyway, just came here to get out that I feel good. Onto day 28
