Hello everyone. I would like to share a couple of milestones if I may. 8 months ago, I was injecting meth multiple times a day, everyday. I had been for months. My vehicle that contained all my earthly belonging was stolen. On November 15th I took a shot of meth that had fentanyl in it and I crashed going down a hill on my longboard. I suffered a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. I don’t remember anything for 4 weeks after the accident. When I started to remember I found myself stuck in a hospital being told about what had happened to me. I found out my girlfriend had left me while I was “out of it”. I was released on December 15th 2024. I had to eat pureed food and drink level 3 thickness fluid (thats water thats thick like honey). I was told I might not make it out of a wheelchair. Now here I am, 6 months later. Still clean. I am WAY out of a wheelchair. In March, I walked 132 miles by myself. Also in March I started longboarding again. I am studying to become a peer counselor. For once I see the potential that sobriety brings, and it is beautiful.
Welcome Tenax
Amazing story. You are lucky to be alive. It seems like you know that. Great job on cleaning up your act. A congratulations on the almost 6 months clean.
This is a great clean and sober community to get and give support.
You are lucky that fentanyl didn’t end it for ya. I’ve seen some broken moms and dads in my Al-Anon meetings. What a terrible thing.
People need to hear your story. I hope you can get it out there and maybe save a life.
Great job
