Reasons for fighting

  1. My therapist is proud of me and that counts for something.

  2. What I do matters.

  3. I am enough.


1.) I want to be healthy, mentally fit and physically capable.
2.) I want to feel productive and accomplish my goals.
3.) I have promises I want to keep.

  2. My behavior patterns connected to this are self destructive.

  3. I’ll do whatever it takes to be different than my father.

  1. I’ll never know if it’s impossible to have a good life unless I die trying.

  2. One benefit to my depression is it’s reoccurring proof that I won’t give up even when it’s all I want. All this is, is another opportunity.

  3. I have something I’ve been wanting, and I can’t get it until I’m free.

  1. I don’t pass out, I drift off to sleep.

  2. I don’t wake up counting the drinks I had the night before, being horrified, and trying to rationalize it.

  3. I can sleep in for other reasons than trying to recover from a hangover or a terrible nights sleep due to drinking.

  1. I am sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
  2. I want to live and not just exist.
  3. I don’t want to ever again wake up at 4am hungover and be filled with anxiety that crushes my chest and knots up my stomach.
  1. So much more energy!

  2. I can drive anytime.

  3. My face looks more like myself.
