Reasons for fighting

  1. My therapist is proud of me and that counts for something.

  2. What I do matters.

  3. I am enough.

1.) I want to be healthy, mentally fit and physically capable.
2.) I want to feel productive and accomplish my goals.
3.) I have promises I want to keep.

  1. I want to be healthy.

  2. I want to be stronger.

  3. I want to really feel awake.

  1. I want my self perception and morals to line up.

  2. My behavior patterns connected to this are self destructive.

  3. I’ll do whatever it takes to be different than my father.

  1. I’ll never know if it’s impossible to have a good life unless I die trying.

  2. One benefit to my depression is it’s reoccurring proof that I won’t give up even when it’s all I want. All this is, is another opportunity.

  3. I have something I’ve been wanting, and I can’t get it until I’m free.

  1. I won a recent battle. I hope to win the next as well.

  2. My brother and his wife are coming. Again.

  3. For my dream of a happy life.

  1. I’m not angry waking up.

  2. I can read a good book before bed.

  3. I don’t feel like I want to hide my face.

  1. I don’t pass out, I drift off to sleep.

  2. I don’t wake up counting the drinks I had the night before, being horrified, and trying to rationalize it.

  3. I can sleep in for other reasons than trying to recover from a hangover or a terrible nights sleep due to drinking.
