32 days. Wow! I never thought I could do it even though I wanted it more than anything else. I know that I can’t become the person I want to be, once I used to be; without getting sober. Thirty years of progress brought me to a point that I could no longer trust myself around alcohol. The stupid positions I have put myself in… I never want to experience the self loathing ever again. That said, it is not easy. Last few days were challenging but I didn’t drink and today I am feeling much better regardless of a toothache. Life is good today and that is all I can focus at the moment. Thank you for sharing your stories and feelings. This platform helps me a great deal.
