Repetitive thoughts :(

How do you all silence repetitive thoughts? I feel like I’m constantly talking to myself in my head and it makes me so tired. It happens most when I’m doubting myself, upset about something, mainly self esteem stuff. I’ve tried meditation and mindfulness but I can’t stay still or in quiet for more than a few minutes because of past trauma. Does anybody relate?

I completely relate to this I find sitting with myself the hardest part of recovery but I also find the longer clean time you get and what you learn along the way the easier it becomes I work aprogram without it I’d be screwed especially with my hectic thought process

This was me in the beginning.
The repetitive thoughts were horrible. Mostly about alcohol
Then things I felt guilty about.

I struggled to meditate. It does get easier. I use guided meditation
Most of all I pray for my higher power to take the thoughts away.
I didn’t even have a higher power in the beginning.
But prayed anyway
It worked and it still works.
