This one sounds better in it’s original language and you loose the pun in English but here it goes:
It is a king itself, has fourty wives, walks on streets and visits strangers. What am I?
this one has me a bit stumped — can you offer any hints?
It wears a crown of feathers.
ok – i am still stumped --i’m gonna throw in the towel here and ask for the answer.
A Rooster
LOL – thanks for relieving my mind. I would never have gotten that.
Ok – give it another go – next riddle?
my friend said the rooster riddle doesn’t fit into a western context. Will give an easier one this time.
I heard this one at one of the story nights a while back and liked it.
What is not possible to eat for breakfast?
LOL – ok that makes sense – i think you did mention a possible translation issue but i thought i could possibly get it.
Is this lunch or dinner?
You’re right☺ got that one quickly
oh good – think i may have heard it before
i will try to find a good riddle to post… will need to sleep now tho LOL
Hope you slept well! Am looking forward to hearing your next one. I love riddles and word play. Fun fact here riddles play a very important role in culture. It is traditional that at meals the guest of honor stands to sing a riddle or story and during the meal we discuss it to see who can solve it first. Whoever solves it must then sing a story that relates to the riddle told. During my work today a story teller came to entertain us by singing riddles and songs for us to solve.
I absolutely love this cultural anticdote…how entertaining.
Hope you enjoyed your work entertainment today
Okay…here’s the next riddle…
What is stronger than steel but can’t handle the sun?
I wanna say ice, but like… Ice picks are made of steel.
I’m gonna say ICE!
Vampires, surely?
Lol…cleaver thinking. Yup…it’s ice …your turn to try and stump us
Excellent…yes …ice is correct.
do love the way you think. Ice was the answer…this is 2nd runner up
