What are the inmates with the heart, guarded by 24 guards?
And remember there’s 28 players in total here:
Brain
Heart
24 ribs
What fills in the space there? We’ve identified 26 so far…
Colon and bladder?
2 Lungs brings us to 28
Boom! Yes
Good work guys
That was a team effort for sure. Thanks Matt for keeping us thinking.
@tailee17 or @JoeDogs you got one? The 2 of you helped the most with the last one.
Five siblings are they, their color is true;
One belongs to one, four are shared by two.
Connected together, some by locks;
Many meet their fate upon the rocks.
Arrange their initials, and you should
Find things that are found in a neighborhood.
What has just been described?
The oceans?
Atlantic
Pacific
Indian
Arctic
Antarctic
Problem is I don’t see what the things are that can be found in a neighbourhood with their initials… I also don’t see hour “four are shared by two” with this guess
Four could be share with two if you look at two as the two letters A and I, that covers 4 of the oceans listed.
Oh you are a genius… but I think it’s the great lakes
Homes is spelled out with
Huron
Ontario
Michigan
Erie
Superior
Sorry Matt, not the oceans…
Yes HOMES is a common crossword clue if you’re into those.
Yeah! That’s all thanks to Matt’s thinking
@Matt you may go next
Yes! Jazzy taking the pass to the basket!
Six sons she has, this loving mother:
One with a temper,
Four are gifted with rings of wonder,
The smallest, to his mom none is dearer.
She also has two daughters, we gather
Like twins, close to each other.
We know one for her lively air,
The other, hot but hellish, is only for those who dare.
Her names, too many to remember,
But all that matters to her devoted admirers is
To you, to me and to every wanderer,
She is arguably the perfect mother.
Questions:
I’m hoping the mother is (ironically) the Sun. Her dearest son is Mercury (smallest planet). Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune were gifted rings. ?
Nice! I was thinking along same lines …I think you may be right
Actually in Astrology the sun may be thought of as the Father. So maybe the moon is considered the Mother here?
You got it!
The sisters are Earth and Venus. Venus has a truly hellish surface - anyone landing there would be melted by a combination of hellish heat and sulfuric acid rain
Interesting fact about Venus though: the intermediate layers of the atmosphere, between the surface and outer space, have pressure and heat levels similar to Earth. If a means of having a floating colony could be devised, there is a chance we could colonize it.
