Running in Recovery in 2024-2025

lol you have been a runner

I’ve been following that race. Courtney is a beast! I saw a rumor that she fell and hit her head. She was looking really strong so I was surprised when I saw she had dropped out. I follow her on instagram and she didn’t answer why she dnf. She simply said that will go unanswered for now.

How long does that race go for? 250mi

Yea, 250. I think she dropped out a little after 100 but even still 100 miles of running is insane and she was in first place

How many hours or days is it over?

“Easy” 5K sunday. I haven’t ran all week because of my swelling episode so I just set out to get it done and keep the streak alive. No walk breaks :clap: so yay for that

Started a race series today. 5.25mi. The goal was to pace myself and not injure myself more. Damn it was mor we hills than i wanted. Ran nearly 2.5mi straight out the gate which is a record. Thanks to pacing. More running than walking. Proud of myself

Some stops for traffic but other than that this was a good run.

@Cjp when are the other races? Is it every weekend?

Doing my first timed 10k sunday!!! Knees feeling good. Ahhhh thanks for asking. I learned the importance of pacing from last weekends race. I think im going to set my garmin to a 730-9 min pace and let the clock run

:partying_face: I’ve officially signed up for 2 out of the 3 races I plan to do this year. I have the half next month and then I just signed up for the 9.5 mile trail race I did last year. I had a really good/hard time at that race and I’m looking forward to doing it again. It happens the weekend before Fox’s death anniversary and I feel like a lot of feelings will be brought to the surface but in a way it’s a good remembrance/ tribute. I just have to sign up for the endurance race next paycheck and I’m all set.

Pace is all over the place but that’s ok. I did the first 2.35 miles by myself then a lady meet me for miles 2.35- 7ish and then I finished the last miles by myself. We did some walking and talking then an endurance run pace then an interval workout lol. She was trying out the nike app I use. We met on strava and decided to meet up. Idk, guys- I might have a friend
