I totally spaced on answering you I have a half next month and it’s a road race and then I have a 9.5 mile trail race in Aug.
Sober running buddies. I ran my first 5k straight thru!!! Havent even done it in training. Ran 3.1mi straight without walking. Did a race this morning, yes that helps Feeling so proud of myself and trying to bask in this feeling before i jump to what next
Happy global running day today jun 4. I was surprised with a garmin badge after a run this morning.
Proud of my effort this morning. Its clear i need to set an intention before a run. Today was a solid 20min walk then 40min run. I ran consistently 3 times with a few walk breaks but proud of the longer run times!
I think the 199 heartbeat was an error but it did feel tough towards the end
Very nice!! I didn’t run today and am not running tomorrow to try and be ready for my 12 mile run friday

Not really. Just to survive it lol It’s my last long run before the half later this month.
I need to dial in my nutrition on this run so I don’t bonk out like my last long run

I’ve had those runs before, even though they don’t feel great we get to learn from them for the next time. Still a great run, well done!
I had to take a week off because my right hip started bugging me. Feels like maybe hip flexors? I dunno. I made an appointment with a sports medicine practitioner, but the earliest he could get me in is 3 July. I have another 5k coming up in a week, so I am champing at the bit to start training again. Plus not running is really throwing me off Tomorrow will be exactly a week, so if it feels ok, I might try a gentle run. I just hope it’s not arthritis
My hip has been bothering me too. When I lift my leg to the side it pulls on a muscle and hurts. And I can’t lay on that hip anymore. Not sure what’s going on in there. I have been working extra mobility/ strength for my hips but I know stuff like that takes a while to help
I’m sorry you are having to sit out on running. Hopefully you get back to it soon
