Some intervals done in the rain

Went to the doc and found out my hip issue is probably iliopsoas tendinopathy. Glad it’s not arthritis. Got some proper strength training exercises to do now.

Prerace jitters over here. Longest race of the year tomorrow. 12k around a city lake. Left knee pain. Right foot pain. Didnt get to train this week. We will see how it goes…say a runners prayer for me
Maybe you should see about a massage after your race? I’m super lucky and finally found a good masseuse that I can go to. She use to be a PT and knows her way around. She pretty much just focuses on my legs since my back is so sensitive.
You can do the race! Mind over matter. A nice epsom salt bath after and some ice hot is my go to for sore/hurting legs.
I swear I get phantom pre race injury that is all in my head not saying yours isn’t genuine but my head always makes a big deal and brings up injuries before a race! Best of luck with it, you’ll do great!
