Well, I made it to 9 months too, @Caspio! Very pleased and motivated to go on. Thanks to TS and to everyone travelling alongside. You do really help me to trudge on. I hope everyone has a bright, blessed day.
Thomas…im here with you my friend. Im sorry that that you slipped but so happy to see you back here trying again.
We are only human and not above failures- its how we deal with them and move forward that defines us.
Do you know what lead to the slip up? Are you doing anything differently this time around or do you feel confident that you will utilize all the tools in your tool belt adequately? Are you attending meetings regularly orvdovyou atleast have someone to talk to (a sponsor or therapist)?
If you dont have a sponsor, please do come here and ask for help when the urges arise. We are all here on this journey together my friend- just remember to reach out.
You are already on day 2- thats so fantastic. You are strong and determined …we will not let our addict mind take over.
@Merryshoes Congrats on your 9 month too!!! Amazing accomplishment! Let’s rock this and celebrate 10 month together soon
Thomas, there is no need to ask for patience. Everyone here is walking the sobriety road together
Read the quote at the bottom of your screenshot. When you truly don’t want things things to remain the same, you will see real change. You might need to keep running at this until you are ready, but you will get there.
I see your screenshot and note that you are Christian. My Grandmother used to say to me when I was a little girl, that if we ever had problems or are suffering, we should “offer it up to God”. My advice to you is to turn strongly to your faith, and ask Him for his help.
I have faith in you Thomas
