I am a Catholic, I don’t mention it often here as others might not appreciate faith based advice or perspective, and I respect that.

Aside from visiting here as regularly as I can, I watch mass daily online. Our church is small, and not open every day. It helps keep me grounded, and while I have my troubles, it gives me perspective and I feel a weight has been lifted every time I do.

In times of difficulty I try to remember the sacrifices Jesus made for us. To me, staying drink free one day at a time is my way showing my gratitude. I remember not just His death on the cross, but also His 40 days and 40 nights. He did that for us.

My rosary beads are never far from me. Praying the Rosary calms and recentres me. I love them, they give me great strength even just holding them. They belonged to my grandmother, I feel she watches over me when I use them.

You are doing brilliantly Thomas, I’m so proud of you. You just keep putting one foot in front of they other

@JazzyS thank you. And I am so glad to have your support @Binx when I read your reply I felt so so comforted. I am catholic too and I try my best to open myself to prayer and sacraments and honestly the Church saved my life. I usually speak with a priest about my struggles and I feel understood. Sometimes I am so numb that only the Rosary calm me down. I love this app because always I felt helped and respected
