Self Realizing

In the journey of recovery, self-will run riot—the exhausting, ego-driven need to control every outcome, people, and circumstances—is the very force that drives addiction and inner turmoil. True sobriety begins when we recognize the futility of managing life on our own terms and instead choose humility. By turning our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand Him, we release the crushing weight of self-reliance and step into divine alignment. This godly surrender is not about becoming passive or losing oneself, but rather about exchanging a fractured, fearful, and self-destructive plan for a path rooted in divine love, serenity, and grace. As we daily practice yielding our desires to a Higher Power, the internal riot is quieted, and we are granted the daily strength, clarity, and spiritual freedom needed to live truly free.
