Sexual Desire after giving up Meth

I love this!!! Me and my bf are having horrible difficulties. He got erectile dysfunction from using meth/ we don’t have a sex life anymore:( I hate it. I’m super sexual: like I want it four times a day . He’s older than me:disappointed::disappointed: idk what to do to maybe a rouse him. All we do is fight . I’m so sad :sob:

Way back, I was heavily into cocaine and binge drinking to blackout. Sex always on cocaine, coming off (and now coming off porn addiction 9 mos now) it took a good 6-8 months to feel amd more importantly recognize a healthy sex drive and feeling. Different for everyone, but as I’ve been studying (addiction counselor in college), research shows it’s a good 6 mo ths to replace an old habit with a new one, whatever this may be. So hang in there, you’re getting close. You might want to look into CMA as there are plenty of chem/sex there, particularly in larger cities.
Best to you!

Fkn right bro

I think ED from meth is common, that’s why it’s very common for people to use viagara whilst on meth. And for a while I felt like a sexual god, but after my sniffing progressed into smoking I deffo found it harder to keep erections even with V.

In all honesty, laying off the meth would be the best thing in the long term, easier said than done though, and in the short term (depending on how bad his problem is) he may not even want sex after quitting meth.

Since my original post I had a few relapses but am now 1 day away from a year since I last used Meth. The triggers were largely sex related. It has taken me a long time to get sexual desire back, a number of months, largely because it’s not as exciting as it was when I was high. It still isn’t, it probably never will be. On the plus side I seem to have somewhat broken the link of thinking of sex being a major trigger.
