@Zeus Hey, welcome! 7 days is awesome! Great job! I never really got the shakes so I’m not really sure. Maybe your nervous system is still adapting to not having the alcohol. Drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins. I’ll be praying for you & your family! Blessings to you!
@Soberlife05 Thank you soo much i habe a mountain fo people praying for me from my familly and 2 clostst friends. I am sure tr h rough God’s helpp thiss is the on ly wa i have comme this far. I foiund yo our wlsords verry eñcoueaging. Once aģein ssorry h forr rge mistakes
@Zeus you are doing really well, you have come to the right place all of us are in different stages of our journey but we are all here to support one and other. As @Soberlife05 has said keep up the fluids, juice, soft drink, water ect. This will help a lot (well it has with me when I have been in your situation. Things will get better detox takes between 7 and 10 days buy everyone is different. Try and rest and also try and eat, it takes time but worth it in the end. Welcome - sending positive thoughts your way…
@Zeus I’m really happy to hear you found your faith in God! “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) “And now all these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13) Hope you find encouragement in the truth, the way & the life! Blessings to you brother! I’ll keep you in my prayers! God is good always & forever!
I had them for about 9 days. If it was a 12 pack and a bottle of wine your body is probably freaking out from the lack of sugar. Watch out and try and grab something sweet and make sure your never hungry. If it continues consult a doc and make sure your not heading toward becoming a diabetic, some people are more susceptible than others to sugar sensitivity.
@Zeus how are you feeling? any improvement??? hang in there mate!!!
Quite a bit today but only with strong amounts of valleum, without that it feels as though i have parkinsons disease. Thank you for your thoughts @Ozdownunder
Apparently i have posted 3 times and cant anymore so here is the next post i will add in as an edit
@Ozdownunder find out this afternoon if i get accepted into rehab up north in Lismore. Praying I do however being on day 8 now on my own, chances are the bed will be used for someone else. I fear so much for relapse with no counseling other than a bible and family… and all of you @Soberlife05 @DrunkenMaster @Tyler_Neal_Carlson @Oliverjava
Hang it there it will pass, I can see an improvement, that’s a real good sign… the good thing is you are getting help so that is fantastic… Try and take it easy and relax…
Well done @zeus keep going, use the valium as and when you need to. You may have the shakes for a few more days before they start to calm down considering how long you were drinking for your body is withdrawing from what it was relying on to function. Well done on getting this far, there is life beyond alcohol I would recommend you go to an alcoholics anonymous meeting if you haven’t already done so, you will find lots of support from like minded people who know what you are going through. Good luck
Hey @zeus praying to god you get a bed (try not to fear of a relapse you are doing so well already) the Valium will help. Thinking of you and let us know as soon as you hear any news. My thoughts are with you and sending positive vibes your way…
