Ive had an interest in painting for years! I decided to quit talking about it and start doing it.
Ill probably tweak the sky and water more. Trying to take my time. I ruined my first attempt water colors are tricky!
Ive got an oil painting in progress. Its taking forever to dry.
I picked up some acrylics yesterday but im having trouble deciding on my subject. Im gonna commit to something after work today.
Im having fun! Its helping me fill that giant void of time i used to spent at the bar or with my drinking buddies when im not working.
And it makes me feel good. Natural high!

True love idea. I used some old slides to make the border. Painted a canvas black then took strips of newspaper and soaked them in a black glue wash. The hearts and notes I cut from a birthday gift bag I had lying around. I did the portrait with charcoal on drawing paper then glued it to the canvas to seal it. The words I cut out from various magazines. A lyric to one of my favorite songs by The Cure “Just Like Heaven.”

“All about meat!” I got the idea when eating a Steak, as I love the Taste of some meat. Nothing against vegetarians though, my father is one and I too am thinking about quitting meat for a while
