Show the artist within you (Part 1)

This is only my 2nd whittling project. From a block to a frog for my daughter. About half way done. It’s a lot more time consuming than I thought it would be, but I enjoy it very much.
Time well spent not thinking about drinking. I don’t follow any books or videos, I just kind of feel my way. I will probably look into videos for tips to refine my craft as I do bigger projects.

Thanks! I love birch trees. Reminds me of camping with my family as kids. Extra special memories as both my parents have passed. I remember also making a little birch bark canoe from an old cut down tree. I am hoping to plant some on our property this year too

Hiya! Yes you can get starter kits. If you look online for copper foil stained glass kits and on you tube you can figure out what you need to get started. I got to warn you though!! It’s loads of fun and once you start you’ll not want to stop lol during the lock down I’ve been learning how to do this and every day I’ve been making things. There is some awesome videos on how to do it online. Give it a go, it’s fab! Xxx:two_hearts:

Thanks Jim! If you would of told me a year ago I’d be sitting in a shed at the bottom of the garden making stained glass, I would of thought you mad… I love seeing your affirmations each night before bed. Sometimes what you put is very similar to how I’m feeling, they totally resonate with me…keep posting, they are great!
