I’ve started using the community section of this app just now and am wondering if anyone else is interested in finding people to chat to on a sort of regular basis. It’d be nice to have some sober friends as we have a common goal.
Sure! I just started using this app as well and like that it has a community section. I think having a few friends to check up on and to check on me will help me with accountability.
This whole app is based on that idea, day or night you will always find someone with an open ear and open heart. I would suggest don’t limit yourself to private messages bc there is some priceless experience out there that you may not get from just a handful of people. Don’t get me wrong a support network is what I used and to great effect but if your ever struggling the open community might be more helpful as your first port of call.
Wish you well on your journey
Hi Steve, thanks for your response. Is it possible I don’t have that option as a new user? I can’t see it and it won’t let me upload a screenshot because of this either
Could be, if you click on someone’s avatar icon their info page will come up. That’s where the button is. You can make a post asking about, one of the mods would answer any questions you have
Yes, as a new user you need to engage with the main forum by reading posts and threads, responding, liking posts and coming on here often in order to earn ‘trust’ and other abilities…such as adding photos, private messages and getting more likes and ability to respond more.
