Sounds good! I find it hard to talk to friends as they try and talk my drinking down. And I find it hard to keep up to date with all the posts on here.
I’m sober 36 days now. This is not easy that’s for sure. Had to give up so many people in my life that want to pull me down.
@Linda79 the good thing with the threads is that you can pick up anywhere. Always welcome to come and share. Some move pretty quick and you don’t need to feel bad about missing anything. Hope to see you more around the threads. Lots of good ones. Sorry your friends aren’t as supportive but you have all of us.
Congrats on 36 days. You may like this thread for daily check ins. This one is almost a daily for a lot of us.
Checking in daily to maintain focus #45
Thank you so much, I’ll check it out.
I could also use some friends to talk with.
The best is to be part of the forum, engage in posts and get feedback
After a while you’ll see certain groups kinda flock together as they built a repitoire with each other, of course it’s not like high school cliques, people who tend to group together almost always welcome a newcomer into their group especially if they interact often.
As far as posting your socials up here I advise against it. It’s a public site so it’s easy to use anything from your Snapchat name to your discord to identify and locate you, kinda hides the anonymous factor. Trust me working for a data company, and formerly In LE, anything anyone can be found via social media
However I will say this I have close personal relationships with people on the forum. Even some who have left the forum that I talk to everyday, eventually you do build a bond, and grow that friendship and trust it just takes time.
@Ravikamor posted the zoom link, and let me tell you some great people there too I was a regular until my work schedule changed.
Grab a chair take a seat spend some time here and you’ll be surprised by the outcomes
