In SAA we talk alot about living in our outer circle and about the importance of having sober Hobbies and activities to turn to in recovery. I came to the realization that i am horrible at being alone with myself and that i have never learned how to seek joy or fun in anything that didn’t involve sex, drugs or alcohol. So being early in recovery (30days sober) i still haven’t found a good go to sober hobby. I don’t know how many more idle weekends i can take lol. Anyway. I would appreciate hearing about your sober Hobbies! And thanks in advance for the shares!
Gardening fishing camping hiking anything that brings me closer to my higher power through the ability to realize the innumerable gifts that he blesses me with daily up here in the northeast theres a big sober campout around labor day usually around 1000 to 2000 people show up its fun and a great way to branch out and network
