Love the ears too. Why would someone ruin such a lovely gift by stuffing alcohol in there? Jeez!
It was a sock swap kind of thing. The socks/slippers were the “wrapping paper” and a gift at the same time. The idea was to put goodies in there for whomever ended up with the socks/slippers. I honestly think the lady that brought this pair is a borderline alcoholic. She likes alcohol and would think it an appropriate gift so that’s what she put in there. And a small candle. The candle was nice. I kept that. The further away I get from alcohol the more clearly I see others that really do have a problem but their drinking is considered “social” and “normal”.
Well I’m glad the candle worked as well as the slippers
My husband is starting to make observations about people and alcohol, including anything on tv or in movies, now that he’s supporting me. As a normie, he never noticed. He’s now shocked at how prevalent it is. That helps me with my journey
At a local fishing pond with husband and kids. Around 11am right now so enjoying the quiet. Only small fish biting. Enjoying a book…
Looks lovely! I always enjoy being around the water. Have a great afternoon!
Sober legs snuggled in behind the scarf I’m crocheting.
Pfff…kicking myself to the gym now…
See you later! 🙋
You crack me up…
Hoping you’re a guy with that hairy leg, lol! I’m kidding! I knew but that was my first thought,
That looks like an actual picture of heaven. Really beautiful.
I’m embarrassed to say I had to google where that is, as I wasn’t familiar. Looks incredible! True paradise.
What is your actual sobriety date? I think you are the closest I’ve found to me in my 966 days sober and on this site. Lol
My date is May 28th, 2017
@Salty
I’ve seen that much snow one time. We had 2 feet of snow fall here in SC and things were closed for 2 weeks . It was a 2 week redneck holiday.
Had about a foot this weekend. Not as bad as out east in Newfoundland; I’ve got some family who got close to 3 feet
