Snow about up to my knees today on our walk! Nice and fluffy. Glad I had my snow pants on
Yours are more snow than leg lately. Everything alright up there, Salty?
@Dazercat check out this hot mess baggy jammies and boots out in garage so my little guy can dig in his fossil kit and make a mess out here rather than in house.
We’re on lockdown with nowhere to go except out in the snow (we got about 2 feet of snow this weekend in your measurement ) and I’m content with staying put!
Love it.
We just got cold. Wish we had one of your feet. Of snow that is
I’m playing with my squirrels on the nature thread.
It’s been a day in bed with my kiddos and periodic treks outside to the winter wonderland. A little Scrabble and Netflix fireplace is doing us good! Chucho was interested in the popping sounds for a minute…
Relaxing on couch with little man. I love that warm little foot on me. I’ll enjoy it now because one day, it will be a stinky teenage foot
What? You relaxing after shoveling snow and splitting wood. Cool looking fireplace. I miss the smell of a real wood fire. But flipping a switch is pretty nice. My outdoor fireplace is real wood burning. But I’m afraid to use it cuz of fire danger up here.
Thanks for the compliments on my cozy home. I am truly blessed.
Yep. Dad’s watching telly and I turned a recliner around to watch the fire while crocheting. And yes, Eric @Dazercat, I’ve missed the sound and scent of real fire, too. Dad has fire in it daily.
I got Suns/ Nuggets down here. Didn’t know Chris Paul was on the Suns and Crowder. I always like Crowder when he was a Celtic.
Taking a break after building my spectacular snowman
Also built a fort at the base of that tree, and my little guy is hiding inside it in the photo
Snowman looks like he’s defending that fort for real.
Maybe he’ll keep the coyotes away!
I’ve been looking at a special kind of candle that’s supposed to make the sound and smell of a real wooden fire. It’s called Woodwick or something like that. Expensive but if it does give you that feeling I’m willing to pay for it. We don’t have a real fireplace in our house so I’ve built a faux one. And I usually turn the fireplace Netflix video on almost every winter day. I’m raised with a fireplace and a house where you had to make a fire to get the place heated and to get hot water. My father replaced that with geothermal heating as soon as we all moved out. And we got geothermal in our house to, because it was oil and or electricity heaters only when we bought it. Comfortable and cost effective but gosh I do miss the real fireplace.
