Not getting all liquored up because I got an extra 2 hours at the airport either. Never ever thought I’d be able to not drink at the airport in any circumstances. That’s why we do it ONE DAY AT A TIME!! Don’t think! Just don’t drink today!
Your sweet. It’s but we’re only allowed 10-15 minutes. Not sure if I was being timed. The Mon-Friday meetings are all speaker meetings set up that way.
Egg-timer meetings! They are not in style so much around here (our meetings run on the tiny to small side), but I really appreciate one when I find it.
Most of my AA and Al-Anon meetings around here, in the north of LA area are pop up egg timer meetings. Maybe because there’s so many people in recovery. I’m still getting use to it.
Scottsdale was usually around the room starting to the left or right of the leader. No timers. I liked knowing when it was going to be my turn or pass.
Sunbathing on my balcony listening to the birds in the courtyard. It’s an easy 30c today and supposedly the last day of sun before we get huge thunderstorms for days… So I’m stocking the pantry with some vitamin D
Physical fatigue is much more important than mental fatigue, so yes . The sun was beating down today and I was very happy to have some vegetable broth and a can of sardines next to my tent tonight. The landscapes and trails are magnificent. Tomorrow will be another long walk. In short, it’s a tough comeback. Difficult but necessary, and I’m happy to do it. Today I hardly thought about alcohol at all. I really have other things to do.
Thanks for your support. Have a good sober evening!
You got this - enjoy the nature and all the beauty. Make sure to rest when your body needs it. Glad to hear that you are doing things and staying active and therefore have no room for urges.
