Just dropped Mom off. That 2+ weeks actually flew by and as it turned out, was very good for our relationship - which has been in a bit of a “Cold War” of sorts for a few years. My move out here and the distance has been good for us as well, from my perspective. I’m glad she visited, and I’m grateful she flew out to help me post-surgery (I’m still fucked, but I can at least put my socks on now and don’t need a walker). I feel like I have a Mom again.
EDIT: I have decided to use my walker to get around my apt out of precaution since I am alone now. At least for the next 2 weeks until my Dad gets here. Chief can’t use phones yet. I should be more comfortable in my healing in 2-3 weeks. There are still times my legs feel unsteady. It hasn’t even been 2 weeks. Don’t be a stubborn dumbass, self.
Anyhow. The rare Boston/home team I support, gotta rep them out here in AZ during the playoffs. Had to show the back, because NOPE it ain’t #7 Jaylen Brown, NOPE it ain’t even #7 Dee Brown.
It’s my dude #7 “Big” Al Jefferson. The centerpiece in the trade that got us Kevin Garnett in 07. I was PISSED. Shows what I know. But I did follow Al for the rest of his playing days. Solid career.
Got the jersey back in 06 when I was a pudgy boy (and generally shy about my body) so it’s a bit like a sleeveless mumu now. I dig it.
Looking good man and green is my favorite color but I’m all about Rip City!
Al Jefferson had some great years in Utah.
