Day 693! Things have been weird in my world. Husband is fighting the good fight. Lots of relapsing and excuses. He is controlling his drinking to where he drinks while I’m at work. But his buzz is pretty worn off by the time I get home. Evenings have been much more chill… which is nice. I am 36 years old and he just celebrated his 50th. I’m hoping this milestone will be the eye opener he needs to stick with it. I’m nearing 2 years without a drop and I have no urge to partake in any of it. It is so empowering. I just can’t wait for him to join the club. But atleast home life has been less stressful! Hope you all are well and thanks for dealing with my rambling posts

I think you can fit a smile on that beautiful face of yours. Keep coming back, I am going to as well.

All you can do is to keep sobering, setting the example, and encourage him when he gets a win, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement.

Oh, and keep smiling!

Thanks @Yoda-Stevie and @Its_me_Stella ! Appreciate the reminder to stay strong. Some days I blame myself. Wonder what I’m doing wrong. Why is he so miserable in our beautiful life? I’ve considered starting over with him. Just have a glass of wine, and start at day 1. I know that’s not the answer… but I would do anything for him. I’ve mentioned it to him and he said absolutely not.

I certainly hope you continue to March forward growing stronger in your sobriety. If someone is flailing in quicksand, which is more helpful? Jumping in with them, or stretching out your hand from solid ground?
