Oh it’s actually our largest artificial lake created in 1959 by damming the famous Nemunas River ( The Neman, Niemen, Nioman, Nemunas or Memel is a river in Europe that rises in central Belarus and flows through my country then forms the northern border of Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia’s western exclave, which specifically follows its southern channel). This artificial lake occupies 63.5 square kilometers. The reservoir supports the operations of the Hydroelectric Power Plant. Also supports the operations of 900MW Kruonis Pumped Storage Plant.

A lot of beautiful places :raised_hands:

Even more amazing! I love artificial lakes, reservoirs for some reason. In England we have a whole network created by peat digging, called the Norfolk Broads. I love going on those in a boat, so relaxing.

I think I saw my friend going on those on boat. He lives in England now. Actually many many our people live in England now do to bad government and bad salary here. Sad part is, many criminals, gangs and mafia members also runned away to England mostly, or somewhere to South. Hope they changed they habbits with time… I know some for sure, they’re still making dirty money :frowning: drugs, crimes and so on.

That is really sad, you would hope they would want a fresh start! I love that people can move to a whole new country and start a new life (criminals aside obviously!)

My favourite reservoir up here is Ladybower - it’s a flat walk with lovely views over the water, and it was made famous as the place the Dambusters trained in WW2. It’s a bit of history not too far away from me in Derbyshire

I may have been there! I remember going that way on a family holiday and loving it. I was early 20s though so not paying quite as much attention to history, details. I would love to go back.

We still have the last week of the summer holidays booked as leave and no plans. We love going further North now, having spent years doing south and east coasts.

When you go to the shop
but first you have to wait 10min because all the kids want to put shoes on ALL ALONE,
in the meantime fighting which shoe belong to who,
and you think what to buy and cook that everybody gonna be satisfied…
