2184 days since my final Blackout, make a Humongous A-hole out of myself, painfully hungover, hear about what a Giant A-hole I am all day, hate myself, self loathing, ashamed, dream vacation ruining, morning.

I think back to how I felt that day. I was not inspiring. I was pathetic.
I was lucky. I could still be behind bars in paradise. I could have killed someone from behind the wheel. Drinking and driving was always against my rules for myself.
At the end of my drinking I had come too numerous times and not remembered that I drove.
Today, I use my lowest moments to remind me that I cannot risk it.
One drink at the airport started this event. The first drink. That’s the one that gets me. I never know where that first drink is going to take me.
There isn’t anything that a drink cannot make worse.

Got up at 5am for work only to be stranded at home with a dead car battery. 
Despite the circumstance, I’ll gladly take a work from home day. My neighbors will be taking me to the auto parts store and help with switching out the battery later.
