hang you food in a tree to keep the bears away…black bear are very docile unless cubs are nearby. If you eliminate the food supply thy usually don’t even show up. If you see glowing eyeballs from the firelight its most likely raccoons. Don’t sweat the wildlife it’s a treat to see something different. Have fun…
