Hi Gina
Nice to meet you and welcome. Congratulations on Day 11. Iāve been on this app for a good while and have had several slips. Iām coming to terms that although everyoneās journeys different I need to put in more work. Checking in hereā¦staying away from my triggers people places and thingsā¦get a sponserā¦be humble and honest. I. am tired of running and hiding.
Thanks again for your lovely words. Looking forward to getting to know you more. Yes we can do this one day at a time. Fall down but get right back up!
I was lonely and hurt from the loss of my relationship with my childrenās father which is very toxicā¦shows how much work I need to do!
Aww no ones ever said that to me before love cheers

Life on lifeās terms is not comfortable some days. I am so grateful for my sobriety, so I can see what I need 2 do about my obstaclesā¦ instead of running from them or avoiding them. Feelings are unavoidable, Im still not a fan. I just dont drink over them todayā¦ And the good feelings I experience are so AMAZING and appreciated that they outshine and outweigh the negativeā¦
Beautiful! Thatās right, flexibility is key. Lol Feelings are temporary. Not dwelling on the negative and non attached appreciation for the positive is great foundation for maintaining

Joseph, Iām not sure what you mean by this. The setting of goals and the pursuit of them is essential for physical and spiritual growth, and it seems to me that you are not stagnant, that you are growing. You may be disappointed with your pace of progress, but you are making progress.
Goal setting is a skill that it took me some experience with failure to improve. I can revise my goals at any time and be content with that. One key thing Iāve learned from the business world is to define outcomes in ways that can be measured. And if my measures come up short, I can be objective about it. Letās say a mini goal is to ride my bike for 45 minutes at 85 rpm (I have a cadence monitor attached to help me measure). If I start flagging at 30 minutes, I can make a choice - dig deep and keep to the original plan, I can acknowledge that I have given all I can (maybe I didnāt fuel properly and ran out of power), or stick to the 45 minutes at a lower RPM. Was my goal unrealistic, did I need to pursue it in smaller increments? Did I need to practice affirmations first, like my friend @desire2changetoday?
We can fail and revise the plan, we can adjust our goals so that we do not become discouraged. It helps to have the counsel of another person to make sure we are not justifying laziness and to help us make a plan for success.
Persist in seeking, persist in prayer, persist in questioning yourself, persist in doubt and persist in faith. You deserve all blessings and they will come to each of us in time.
Thank You so much and Iām digging the acronym. Much Peace
There you are! Hi, good to see you again Michael!
Your still so young. Dad and brother were in the military. Dad retired and my brother only served a short time. Have a safe day . Yup itās Friday!!!
