I haven’t a drink in 6 days but it feels like 6 years either time is moving really slow or am losing it cuz I been staring out the window with a smile on my face thinking this sober living isn’t so bad
Hey @Caborey801 & welcome! Congratulations on 6 Amazing days! Best. Decision. Ever! I’m glad you like how it feels so far ~ you’ll love it later even more!
I feel time goes by slowly ever since I’ve become sober, 60 days today!
I’ve come to realize it’s because I remember everything, I’m awake and present in my moments. It feels so good to enjoy every moment of the day instead of drinking to forget the past.
enjoy every moment of your sobriety!
The first time I quit drinking time went so slowly for the first month, I thought it was going to drive me crazy.
This time around, only the first 3 or 4 days went slow but now it’s crazy how fast time is flying. Here I am on 16.5 days!
This is just the beginning. I’m nearly 14 months sober now and it gets better and better.
Beware of complacency. When that voice comes in your head tell it to get lost as you’re sober and on to a good thing.
I can’t go day without drinking so I get it, my ex made me mad… can’t get over it…
Time moves at the same time, but your perception of the things around you changes when you’re sober and positive. What used to be not enough hours in the day becomes plenty because of the focus and clarity.
Waking up in day 3…feeling tired… Been aiming to meditate with calm app in morning and set my alarm for 9.30pm for 5 mins, in between is the talking sober! Haven’t had 4 days sober in more than 7 months. Happy Sunday!
Actually use Headspace not Calm! Oops. Keeping honest! Lol…Good app…
14 months is awesome that seems like a lifetime away for me talk about life changing !!!
Yeah I was the same way my biggest obstacle was not drinking after wrk I think what helps me out is when I realized I got so much to lose by drinking and everything to gain by being sober you got this
