Hey everyone,

I just published Sober Time 4.4.07 to the stores, it should be available everywhere within the next week.

It includes a few small fixes throughout the app, but what you’ll probably notice is the redesigned app menu. It now features a community section that fills up the bottom empty space. This section will list some of the currently active topics. Besides the community section, I also tightened up the other menu items and gave them new lighter icons. The top block has also been reduced in size. Here’s what it looks like:

If you don’t like it, just collapse it and it becomes a normal menu item.

Some of you might recall that the menu used to have a dedicated Community item. I ended up removing it a while ago in an effort to reduce duplication and simplify the user interface, since there is already a community button in the top-right of the app.

Unfortunately, it led to less people engaging in the community, simply because they never found it. At a glance people don’t always know what the icon is and the “Community” label in the menu helped clarify that. I even got some reviews saying that the app needs a community feature. It’s clear people were not discovering this wonderful resource, so I wanted to put the item back with some improvements. The new section will hopefully allow people to easily discover the community and quickly understand how the topics work by seeing them right in their app menu.

Have a great weekend
Robin

Thanks Robin!! I have definitely noticed that we have less community engagement than in the past. I hope this helps more people find the community support section…and engage with it.
