Great post @Melrm. I have to practice saying these prayers. Thanks for reminding me! Wish me luck today. I’m an engineer, and all the emotional stuff keeps crowding in and is making it hard for me to get my work done/come to solutions on things. I work by myself and since engineering is ALL thoughts coming to fruition, in the form of buildings in my branch of engineering I spend ALL day in my head!!!

With all this brainy work I do, I was really scared I was screwing myself up with alcohol. I will need to work until I am 70 so just didn’t want to keep taking chances with this. It’s one of the reasons I had to quit. I am 54 now.

@Kareness I went to a meditation class today as my head was in such mess I couldn’t think straight, I had never done it before but it was great, my head felt so much clearer afterwards, I really recommend it!
