Love the wood trim and banisters. Did they have paint on them ?
Iowa, for a few more weeks. Moving to Washington state.
There was paint on every piece of wood in the house. We used heat guns to chip it away, because it was too thick for paint thinner. I chipped away one spot that was almost an inch thick with paint.

. I spent 6 hours just on one air return vent. The wood feels like it took years to do.
