Someone to confess my past wrongs

I’m really stuck with not confessing my sins to another person…I have no one……

How do I get cleaned of my past wrongs and mistakes?

Are u involved with 12 step meetings at all? I was able to do this with my sponsor when I got to this step

Step 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

Not sure if that’s exactly how it’s worded in the BigBook, but step five of twelve of AA or NA is exactly what you’re looking for. If interested:

  • Go to a NA/AA meeting
  • Ask someone to “sponsor” you. (Same gender as yourself)

Sounds to me like you are ripe for recovery, that’s awesome (sounds like you’re ready) you are looking for a solution.

Have fun

You can share what you feel comfortable sharing. You could write it in journal, it can be helpful to write it down and you could burn it afterwords. Are you in therapy? If not, are you willing to go to one. They are there to listen and not pass judgement

Do you have some type of Employee Assistance Program through your employer/insurance? Usually they provide 3 free counseling sessions. You can talk to someone over the phone.

A counselor can be a good choice, as that is someone you would develop relationship with. Also the clergy are trained in this type of thing.

AA is the best solution for me and millions of others, you might want to reconsider. It’s a massively large group of people who have fond a way (unique to each member) to get sober, stay sober, live sober, and reconcile their past with their present and their future.
