Learning to fly by Tom petty
Good one. I love Tom petty.
I like starting my day jamming out in the car. And there always seems to be some song on in the morning that strikes me as inspiration for the day. I forgot how much I love music when I was drunk/hangover all the time. Used to piss me off when it was all happy songs in the morning when I felt like death. But Iāve definitely noticed a change. And itās so nice to enjoy jamming out in the car when I take my son to school.
Iām contemplating going to see him at Wrigley feild this summer
Weāre talking about catching his tour too. LOVE Tom Petty. This song has new meaning for me now.
A quote I heard in a meeting recently:
Then sobriety gave my sky back
I look at it as I fall in love everyday with the sober person I am.
Unwritten Law - āSave Meā
This video is not āinspirationalā, but it always stuck with me as frightening, and captures the nightmare of addiction, and made me think hard. WARNING: this is the adult version and contains adult language, (animated) nudity, and drug images. You can google to find the lyrics.
The Good Fight by Unspoken. Thatās my jam! Gives me good vibes all around. And thatās what Iām doing now, fighting the good fight
A friend of mine went through a hard time a few years back. He wrote a song about it. Our band recorded it. Would you like to hear it? Here it goes.
I love it! I swear Iāve heard it before
The song IS a national treasure. I would hope youāve heard it.
