I need a sponsor. I’m 5 months sober and I’m ready to work on my steps. I’ve read the big book already

Do you go to any meetings? And if so, have you asked anyone in person who is willing to sponsor? I feel it was best for me to sit with another addict/ alcoholic. And, It has been found more times than not to build the most solid foundation for recovery. Just my thoughts but it is so worth it. We do this one day at a time.

For me, what helped was going to a lot of meetings and speaking up during the meeting and also connecting with people before and after the meeting, and asking advice of those there about who would be an appropriate person.
Also, there are a lot of threads on here with advice and suggestions, you can search using the magnifying glass on the top of your page.

Go to a meeting get a sponsor get onto the steps wish you well
I’m 5 months sober too and last night I asked for a sponsor at an AA meeting. It worked and now I have this nice person ready to help me with the steps.
