Passed 72 hours while I was asleep last night! I guess that happens when you are sleeping instead of being drunk at 3 am lol. I’ve felt very strong and clear and feel awesome. I’m just hoping it sticks! For those who have gotten farther is there any thing I need to watch out for? How does 2 weeks feel?
I’ve been through ups and downs.
Two weeks and I was still riding the pink cloud. Strong, in complete control, etc…
About week three is when my mind started wandering back to the thought of drinking. Bad enough to shake your nerves a bit, but with the will to keep at it, it’s manageable. Also started having mild mood swings.
My post accute withdrawal symptoms have come and gone also. Mostly in the form of mild short term memory issues.
I’m pushing 60 days, I’ve still got this, and nothing is going to stand in my way of my sobriety.
Ill be at 2 weeks tonight. I feel great, the thought of drinking does come and go but I’m trying to keep busy so the cravings are manageable. Be strong and keep busy. You can do this
That’s awesome, what types of things are you doing to keep busy?
@Marthanomore well done so far. You struck a chord. I did 87 days from may to September but keep relapsing. Felt I had gotten the better of this. Now I’m head down 2 days in and going for it. We all know how it makes us feel. Trust that thought. You will gain control of your life and very soon good things will happen. You will feel more positive and regain self respect. But never ever look back like I did and say what if I had just one… you got this mate
Oh I took a paint class. I read and walk more. Joined a gym awhile back and I’ve started going more. I’m taking my son to indoor play areas aand I’m working on my fixer upper home my husband and I bought. Always looking for more stuff to do.
