@JaneApril272022 @TheOnlySolipsist @pkeeper Congrats on your new journey !!! This is a great place to start. Donā€™t ever quit trying. Being sober is a tough journey that requires lots of self sacrifice and courage but is worth more than all the gold in the world ! You will be amazed at the rewards. Sure all of the problems of life are still there but we can now deal with them in a calm and sane manner. Not that crazy storm like way we used to. Relapse doesnā€™t have to be a part of recovery but if it happens donā€™t be ashamed or scared to get back up and strike out at it again. I call us Warriors because we are in a battle with something that " Wants to kill us and doesnā€™t care how it does it" Welcome to the Army !!!

Congratulations, thatā€™s a great start! Iā€™ve woke up to day 2, a little rougher than day 1, but Iā€™m happy to be here and looking forward to day 3. And to break my 10 streak of not making past day 4. Stay strong.

Wow, you got up earlyā€¦ how are you feeling? I just hit 36 hours and I feel Iā€™m over the worst of it. Starting to feel a bit of energyā€¦ slept in so late. Going to try to hit the gym today and get some more food in me. How are you?

The only easy day, was yesterday.

I had a lot of anxiety at one point buddy, and kept walking around in Edmonds, Washington near where I liveā€¦ pretty upscale place with great bars and boutiques. A friend I have lives there, and I had an urge to reach out to him and indulge, but I didnā€™t. Iā€™m so glad I didnā€™t. Iā€™m feeling pretty good now; eating a salad before bed, then hitting the gym again tomorrow. Glad your day went smoothly.

But the good thing is: you can turn this around! :facepunch::facepunch::facepunch:
Congratulations with your decision to do so!

Be around here much to read, meet other people, interact and ask for help when you need it.
We are all here for you!

Sober for more than 3 years myself with the help of this app. You can do that too, you already started!
