Any thoughts on this from experienced sober folk? I heard of coffee and that helps a bit but any others?Like non-alc beer? Maybe something that maybe helps cravings or makes it easier in social settings?
My advice would be to stay away from non alcoholic beers…leaves too much temptation when you see it doesn’t get you buzzed.
Water…water…Gatorade is what i use.
Soda in cans worked for me in the beginning…kinda tricked my mind into feeling like i was holding a beer lol
Thanks. I figured the beer thing wasnt a good idea.
@LookingforChange Definitely water works for me with some lemon. Tea is also good too! They’re great for your health, keeps you full and no side effects lol besides maybe going to the bathroom to pee a few times. Cleanses your system & reduces toxins!
I’m not an experienced sober yet! But a while ago I had to stop for 10 months because i was pregnant and I found water tea and chamomile tea a relaxant. Helped when in was stressed and worked up and before bed. I’m finding it this round really helpful as well.
I like tonic water or seltzer water. They have lots of flavors out there…the bubbles are refreshing. Also, that’s my plan for if/when I go out and don’t want 20 questions…tonic water w/lime looks the same as a gin/tonic.
Water! I drank non-alcoholic beer once in awhile when i was sober for 10 months. I didnt really help.
