Went to my First Meeting today in over 3 Years. Was a Great Experience. Got a New Job start today. After 3 days Sober I slipped again yesterday but getting back up today. No more Excuses. No more Faith Without Action. Turning Everything Around starting today 07/15/26. Alcohol is Literal Poison (Ethanol) that adds no Value to our Lives. I lost sight of that. Not anymore

Never quit quitting @GonzoSteve88 ! I am glad you found the meeting so helpful. You are right alcohol IS poison and it’s whack that we have been led to believe it’s ok to drink it! Oh yeah with the disclaimer “Drink Responsibly”. Have you read This Naked Mind? It was the first book of quit lit that I read and it was a total game changer for me. I can’t unlearn what I learned from it and thank goodness because it got me alcohol free as of April 1st, 2024.

Im sorry to hear about ur slip. 3 days used to be the magic number for when Id start to “forget” how bad it really was. This would trigger cravings and then I would slip. Not any more tho!!
It may be beneficial to write down ur reasons for quitting and what happens to u when u drink (the consequences). Reading that, can be that little reminder that may be enough to pull u out of that state of craving

AA is a great way to get rid of karmic baggage and helping us understand who the Creator is (and isn’t)! There’s power in numbers uniting for a cause… The total power of group prayer is much greater than the sum of it’s parts.
