@anon12657779 most sarcastic, sometimes
i do the phones too
These are some of the awards i gathered over the years lost half of them when i moved house on my tenth house now
I also adore your new one! When I first saw it the other day my first thought was, Wow that is deep and meaningful. I even clicked on your profile to get a better look and take in the details. I love it!
He’s got my dad beat and I seldom see that. He’s got my vote too
Thank you Matt, it IS meaningful…the triple goddess…maiden, mother, crone.
My grandfather had 11 boys, mum was one of the 3 girls.
Good God.
Awwwww thank you!
Person who can give the same simple words of advice every single time a member is looking for “how can I do this sobriety thing” help, and it would be offered so gently but with such conviction and purpose that no one ever gets hurt or bored:
@anon12657779
Matt, your a diamond.
This app did so much for me in my early days. I’m just returning the favour, letting people know it is possible.
Thanks
@anon12657779 and @Matt You’re both pretty awesome and appreciated!! You both are so giving and level headed and kind. It is nice to see you interact with so many members, especially the new ones. It speaks volumes for your character. Well done!
Sassy. Thanks.
I love all y’all!!!
OK this time last year, or there abouts, it was the annual talking sober awards and I would like to open this years show.
Best newcomer 2021 goes to @littlemisschatterbox for being everywhere and helping everyone.
Best undercover cop goes to @Fury for waiting for us to admit our previous wrongs and then going in for the kill.
And my last award is old school and goes to @joy for the ‘She is my Higher Power’ award for doing what I have tried and failed to do on a consistent level which makes her a power greater than me and still inspires me daily.
The rules are there are no rules
Oh wow Paul thanks for bringing this thread back up! It’s one of my favourites - I remember when it started. It’s so nice to see it again!
Ok I have a few to add:
- @Mno Menno for being compassionate and principled. You stand for your values and you don’t take any nonsense, but you’re not a jerk about it. And you don’t let the conversation go too far; you stay focused on the healthy sober journey. I appreciated that a lot this year.
- @anon27760155 Danni for sweeping us up into her journey; for inviting us into her narrative; in a way that feels like being part of an adventure - and helps us see it in our sober lives too. Thanks Danni!
I must give the credit to @DarrenUK I also enjoyed it last year so why not send some more love and laughter
Good call
This one goas to Paul. You earn the award for most stubborn eejit in the world. Despite almost daily relapses, you kept on fighting and it really pays off. You better be sober for a year when you’re 50
4 months today so a third of the way there. Not sure stubborn eejit is the award I was going for but in hindsight it’s a fucking good one to have today.
