I don’t post much here, but I do read it every single day, usually at the end of the day. I’m now into my 15th day and when I check in and read of everybody’s strength it gives me a boost. As a word of encouragement, the best things that have happened to me post booze are a) being more kinder and thoughtful to my wife b) thinking clearer and being able to handle things c) being able to pick my kids up from late night parties d) never having to plan my work around my drinking and e) jogging and running.
I did think I would be ‘boring’ and
Mundane without alcohol, but the truth is, I am now the true version of me and I do a whole
Lot more now. Keep with it everybody.
My picture by the way, if you can’t make it out, is Big Ben in London with the New Years Eve fireworks going off at midnight. That was when I quit forever.
Hi Paul - same here, I post a bit but not every day. I get so much from the other posters!
I can’t believe I’m now on 50 days, but I do know that without stumbling upon this app (thanks Robin) my journey would have been either a lot tougher or abandoned.
Serendipity!
Ditto. I would not have made it to Day21 without this app. As I continue on, I hope I can have more to offer to everyone else here.
Same here, i think i read all the posts!! Congrats for deciding to quit! Life is sure different when sober, i was up early and driving this Sunday, normally it takes me few hours to get rid of hungover! Also, i looked at the sky last night and wondered if I’m seeing Venus, which normally I would have other stuff to focus on Saturday evening!
